Key member of the Accounting team at Nippon Dynawave Packaging responsible for applying and developing a broad knowledge of accounting practices and procedures to produce accurate, timely and reliable financial results. Role is eligible to Work from Home in the State of Washington or Oregon.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

Perform month-end closing tasks and deliver financial operating results.
Prepare and review complex journal entries.
Assist with general ledger and feeder system closing and reconciliation.
Maintain, analyze and deliver routine financial management reports as assigned.
Utilize account reconciliation tools to validate the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
Prepare and review account reconciliations to validate the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
Maintain efficient and reliable processes, and accurate process documentation.
Maintain and monitor adherence to sound financial processes and accounting controls.
Applies GAAP and company accounting policies issues.
Work closely with audit lead and CPA firm to ensure audit deliverables are met timely and accurately.
Participate in special projects, ad-hoc requests, cross-train, and flow to work to help team as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Active progress toward completion of a CPA designation.
0-3 years of work experience and a demonstration of progression in work responsibilities.
Technical accounting research and sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel.
Possess strong problem solving skills, the ability to design and improve processes and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrate sound judgement and decision making.
Knowledge of financial and IT internal controls and ability to use technology to solve problems and meet customer needs.
Able to handle multiple priorities, and take pride in accuracy, quality and completeness of work while being deadline driven.
Ability to question and dig into details when information provided doesn’t meet expectations or appears unreasonable.

Additional desirable experience:

Software knowledge: SAP, Adaptive Planning, and/or Power BI
Industry experience in Pulp and Paper or similar manufacturing environment
