While each line of business is responsible for knowing and driving down pay defects for their own employees, the Perfect Pay team owns the pay experience for Amazonians, creates the right priorities and programs to eliminate pay defects, drives cross-org technical and non-technical projects, and drives accountability across business and HR leaders.
As a Business Analyst in Perfect Pay, you will be the analytics expert, knowing not just the data but also the story behind the data. In this role, you will own gathering requirements to build analytics dashboards, using existing dashboards to dive deep into defects and point to hidden trends that we should start paying attention to. This is a highly visible position that will interact at all levels of the PxT businesses and tech/non-tech partners. You will work closely with program and product managers to understand analytics requirements and collaborate with Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs), Data Engineers (DEs), and Data Scientists (DSs) to deliver analytics solutions.
As you further your career as a Business Analyst at Amazon, you will focus on improving corporate reporting frameworks and data visualization. You will analyze performance data, discover and solve real world problems and build metrics and business cases to improve decision making. You can expect to leverage your analytical skills and have full ownership of the projects you work on.

Key job responsibilities
Deep dive pay defects data to deliver actionable insights to senior leadership
Perform complex data analysis to identify and drive enhanced metrics and reporting
Partner with key stakeholders to lead, support, and influence new business initiatives
Partner with BIEs, DEs and DSs to build dashboards, automated metrics, and reports for business reviews
Design, develop and establish KPIs to monitor analysis and provide strategic insights to drive growth and performance
Communicate complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing
About the team
The Perfect Pay team is looking for a motivated and experienced Business Analyst with strong customer obsession and critical thinking skills to help deliver critical analytics and insights to AET leadership.
5+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analyst role
Advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA)
Advanced SQL skills
Advanced ability to create self-service reporting platform, draw insights from analysis supported by data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior leadership as require.
Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data
High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired
Ability to clearly communicate data insights to others
Ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
