Work Description:
Evaluate usage and replenishment records, calculate inventory turnover, and/or maintain safety stock levels.
Solicit competitive bids from potential suppliers.
Document, analyze, and compare pricing, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
Communicate supplier requirements to product development teams with regard to cost, manufacturing, and availability.
Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Prepare purchase orders for suppliers and internal departments.
Respond to order status, move requests, and resolve any issues for expeditor.
Coordinate with production and engineering for various tasks.
Maintain purchasing files, spreadsheets, reports, and price lists.
Competencies:

Use of 10-key and Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Well organized and able to multitask
Minimum Qualifications:
1-3 years of buying and procurement experience
Associate degree (Business Preferred)
Experience in a manufacturing production environment (Preferred but not required)
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
