Description :
Responsibilities:Transports congregants from their individual homes to Silverdale United Methodist Church in a safe and timely manner. When church is over, transport those same congregants back to their homes. The typical schedule is each Sunday 8:30am through 1:30pm including fueling, cleaning and paperwork time. You will be using a wheelchair lift-equipped vehicle in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations.Assists congregants in and out of facilities and provides door to door assistance if necessary.Observes congregants’ behavior in order to function as a compassionate driver. Some will need more help than others.Reports and documents all incidents involving congregants and vehicles immediately.Performs vehicle pre-trip and post trip inspections. Ensures that vehicles are stocked and fueled. Maintains cleanliness of vehicles, both inside and out. Reports vehicle issues immediately.Ensures accurate completion and submission of all paperwork as needed.Demonstrates and maintains a positive, compassionate, professional manner, manages time efficiently and effectively, participates in appropriate problem solving methods.With respect to congregants, ensure all care is provided with respect and dignity. Report complaints made by congregants to the appropriate church leaders, reports all allegations of abuse, misappropriation of funds/client property and/or any other items immediately.Must adhere to all policies, procedures, terms and conditions set by SUMC, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state, local regulations and laws.Performs other duties as assignedQualificationsExperience: Must be at least 25 years of age with a valid driver’s license in effect for three years.Mental: Must have the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.Licensure: Valid driver’s license and able to meet SUMC motor vehicle policy.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, military status, disability, genetic information and/or any other characteristics protected by applicable law.”Work Remotely
