Job Summary
As our Collections Specialist, you would be responsible for sending out patient account statements, processing patient payments, and helping patients understand their account balances. This position will follow up on outstanding and overdue balances, send accounts to collections, and work to resolve billing issues. Additional responsibilities include; providing phone support for patients, working in various software applications and websites, and updating patient account information.

Requirements:
High school education, GED or equivalent
Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and websites; also use phones, fax machines, printers, scanner, & copiers.
Ability to input data accurately
Ability to interact and communicate with patients and coworkers effectively in a caring, respectful manner.
Ability to meet weekly deadlines
Ability to understand and respond effectively and with sensitivity to special population groups, including those defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, gender, sexual orientation, economic standing & others.
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
Experience in healthcare patient accounts
Knowledge of medical & dental insurance
Credit & collections experience
Knowledge of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC)
A strong interest in working with a diverse patient population
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish
Candidates with applicable experience or similar qualifications are encouraged to apply!
