As the Construction Specialist, your day will be filled with opportunities to monitor the construction loan portfolio, maintaining workflow of Construction Loan Administrators, and other duties as required in Construction Loan Administration.
Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

QC new construction loans to ensure proper coding, including HVCRE and appraisal values
Quote payoffs for partial releases within parameters outlined in loan documents
Reduce collateral values on loan system to reflect partial releases to align with the project appraisal
Interact and communicate with SYB internal/external customers regarding needed information to complete construction draw requests, project pre-reviews, and timing
Offer guidance to internal/external customers regarding insurance
Assist in maintenance of Bank-approved GC and inspector list
Develop workflows within construction monitoring software to streamline processes and create efficiencies
Monitor Construction Loan Administration mailbox and assign tasks appropriately
Provide backup for single-family residential draw portfolio
Image construction loan documentation and draw requests to Director
Track and reconcile invoices from vendors on a monthly basis and submit to Accounts Payable for payment via their Prologue system
Provide administrative assistance, as required, to the Construction Lending Administration Supervisor and Credit Department Manager
Work with Lenders on HVCRE and insurance requirements for regulatory and internal bank guidelines
Stay current with all construction policies, guidelines and regulations

Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years’ experience with commercial loans
Minimum 2 years’ experience with construction preferred
Familiar with bank operations
Excellent organizational skills
Good analytical skills
Computer proficient
Effectively use Microsoft Excel and Word to create spreadsheets and various documents
Efficiently manage own time as well as others’ time to meet demands of a fast-paced environment and deadlines
Resourcefully prioritize work and tasks to meet established goals
Experience with Credit Quest, Construct, or RIMS preferred
