Position : Contracts Manager – DoD
ELS, Inc. is a growing small, employee owned business, looking for a Contracts Manager to lead all contract efforts for the company. The Contracts Manager will have responsibility for supporting program leadership and will handle the entire lifecycle of contract actions across the entire company.The position will report directly to the CFO, and requires contractual experience as well as strong financial skills. DoD and FAR experience is a plus and strongly desired. The Contracts Manager must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail. The right candidate will work well with little direct oversight required. The Contracts Manager will preferably be heavily involved in business development and proposal preparation as well.Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for total contract lifecycle. Negotiates and executes contract documents in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Identify problems and communicate potential solutions. Implements operational decisions of program management.
Oversee day-to-day contract actions.
Create and maintain contract files in full compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and guidelines
Financial modeling support for all contracts a plus.
Communicate effectively and proactive with Program Managers across all contracts.
Possess strong business judgment and understanding of contract risks and impacts.
Demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
Establish strong, positive relationships with customers
BA degree and 3 – 10 years of relevant contract administration experience
Proficiency with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Defense Federal Acquisition Supplement
Must have the ability to make sound business judgments, handle multiple contractual activities with a short turn-around time, and work as part of a Team
Strong financial skills and understanding
Ability to identify and mitigate contract risks and identify, coordinate, and implement appropriate solutions in accordance with company policy and procedures
Highly organized and ability to work independently
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, advanced with Excel.
