Job Title: Coordinator of Student Engagement

Reports To: Assistant Director of Campus Programs

Nature of Work:

This position is responsible for the recruitment, retention, coordination and event planning for the Student Network of the Alumni Association (including Alumni Ambassadors and President’s Partners), as well as training and advisement of student membership sales and promotion during New Student Orientation, Cowboy Welcome Week, Senior Send-Offs for Chapters, and other campus promotion opportunities, as well as the supervision, planning, and execution of the bi-annual Grad Finale event, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment, retention, coordination and event planning for the Student Network of the Alumni Association

Advise student volunteers in the planning and presentation of all events for the Student Network of the Alumni Association
Lead the selection process of the Student Network Leadership Team
Lead the selection process of the Alumni Ambassadors
Lead the selection process of the President’s Partners
Coordinate with the Director of University Engagement to provide meaningful programming and networking opportunities for Alumni Ambassadors and President’s Partners
Work alongside the Membership and Marketing & Communications teams to strategize outreach to current and perspective members.

Lead the recruitment efforts for new members of the Student Network of the Alumni Association

Facilitate interviews, training, and supervision for summer recruitment students and their events. Including but not limited to New Student Orientation, Cowboy Welcome Week, and academic college browse sessions.
Work alongside the Coordinator of Alumni Relations to facilitate student recruitment at Senior Send Off events for local alumni chapters.
Partner with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to connect OSUAA initiatives to the recruiting pipeline for OSU.

Supervision, planning, and execution of the bi-annual Grad Finale event.

Plan and execute all elements for the Grad Finale event at the end of each academic semester.

Perform other duties as assigned

Operational Execution

Collaborate with Director to develop program budgets
Create a strategic program plan to ensure goals and purpose is met within program execution
Maintain goals and objectives by providing student and alumni programs data
Collaborate with the communications and marketing team to develop and execute marketing plans for programs

Provide excellent customer service to all constituents inquiring about Alumni Association programs and events

Job Competencies and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in higher education, education, counseling or program development, or related field, and one to two years’ experience in student organizations

Work Environment:

This position is in an office setting within the OSU Alumni Center. Periodic travel is required both in-state and out-of-state. Events and activities may be held outside so there will be some limited outdoor exposure. Position requires availability to work nights and weekends as determined.
