This position is responsible for leading the provisioning for aircraft spares support to a Boeing derivative aircraft program which is still in development. Deliverables will support the initial recommendation of spares to the customer, as well as the on-going maintenance of spares parts recommendations throughout the development lifecycle. This lead-level position will oversee team member work, mentor individuals and support their development, and will work with the team in managing a measurement/continuous improvement plan for team processes and deliverables.
This position is based in Tukwila, WA. The expectation long-term is in-office support, however, this team is currently working hybrid.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor provisioning team members, and oversee team work toward deliverables.
Analyze engineering drawings, published maintenance tasks and other technical data and publications to derive applicable spares.
Maintain the aircraft spares configuration in an electronic form using the SLICWave tool.
Contribute technical support to the customer through provisioning work sessions and formal inquiry responses.
Contribute to formal proposals to the customer for spares support
Lead the capture of quality measures and metrics for the team, and coordinate on-going root-cause analysis and process improvement.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final Secret U.S. Security Clearance may be required post-start.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Experience leading provisioning teams, and setting team direction in managing and publishing provisioning data.
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, maintenance manuals and other technical publications.
Microsoft Excel sills.
Experience working in a structured logistics database such as SLICWave.
Can operate independently with minimal supervision for routine work.
Experience working with directly customers and managing deliverables to a contracted SOW.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience using the SLICWave logistics database tool to perform spares provisioning
Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field
2 or more years of experience with provisioning or related experience
Experience working with or supporting commercial derivative aircraft or military aircraft
Typical Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification.
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
