Position Summary:
The Quality Director is responsible for the formulation, implementation, and maintenance of the Company Quality Programs. The Quality Director supports the management teams and various internal departments as required and reports to leadership on the overall quality performance, including any improvement needs.

Essential Functions:

Lead cultural change within the business to ensure continuous improvement in quality.
Implement and maintain programs, policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with company, client and governmental requirements.
Attention to the quality requirements for the developing value-add segment of the business
Develop project / customer specific quality plans as needed.
Prepare and maintain required quality records and reports.
Keep abreast of current industry trends, new legislative impacts and customer requirements.
Communicate lessons learned from incident or other opportunities for improvement by performing or facilitating:

Non-conformity reports
Root cause analysis Investigations
Incidents, near misses and damages
Customer complaints
Key Performance Indicators.

Develop improvement plans and monitor performance and progress.
Prepare and deliver professional presentations
Align with leadership to develop quality Goals & Improvement plans both targeted and strategic
Provide input to Operations and DC Teams regarding efficiency improvement opportunities.
Occasional Travel required, less than 5% a year.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Self-Starter, able to prioritize and organize targeted and strategic projects or assignments.
Able to deal with a wide range of situations and personalities, good interpersonal skills
Able to work well under pressure and maintain a team spirit and cooperative attitude
Able to conduct public speaking, good presentation skills
Detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills and consistent
Open minded, committed to continual improvement, a change agent.
Ability to move back and forth between the strategic and tactical aspects of the role, set priorities and produce results under challenging conditions with tight deadlines
Strong verbal, auditory & written communication skills.
Computer literate, with proficient skills in MS-Office suite of programs.
Team player and leader

Environment:

Office environment at manufacturing/warehouse facility
Travel as requested to remote operations or to customer locations

Education & Experience:

4+ years’ experience in Quality leadership role
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, science-related or business administration
