Description :
Position Summary: Provide direction for the program and staff/volunteers, and implement program curriculum in a safe, enjoyable, positive and inclusive environment.Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Plan and Implement daily lesson and activity plans
Supervise all children and activities within program area, independently
Manage a classroom of up to 10 children including maintain a daily schedule, responding to individual needs and creating a positive climate.
Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies
Regularly observes, schedules and completes evaluations for each child
Professionally engages with parents/guardians to provide pertinent information about their child’s experience and to promote upcoming programs
Maintain materials, equipment, and program facility
Maintain required program records
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum age 18, 21 preferred.
Preferred education/experience. Ex: 2+ years experience working with Preschool age children in a developmentally appropriate group setting.
Covid-19 vaccination & any other required immunizations*
Plan, organize, and implement high quality developmentally appropriate programming
Fluency in second language preferred
medical or religious exemption possible

Leading the Educational Preschool (3-5 year old) to our community two times a day for 4 hours a week. The Lead will have time to plan the curriculum and implement it into the classroom. The Lead will be in charge of communicating with parents, setting up/taking down materials, etc. and have time for curriculum planning. This is about a 10-15 hour a week position.
