Currently, we are looking for a part-time experienced teacher / tutor who has at least two years of experience working with students in grades K-8th in the areas of mathematics, reading, and writing and homework support.

Requirements:
Have knowledge in working with young students in Mathematics and use creative strategies for applying your lessons.
Presents with a professional appearance and is consistently on time
Be able to facilitate Zoom sessions to accommodate families if the need may arise.
Can commit for at least the entire 2022-2023 school year, be available starting June 27th to begin training.
Be flexible between 3-8p (MONDAY – THURSDAY ONLY) for training and regularly scheduled hours. We can work out the specific hours together as it will vary between training and regular classroom time.
Bachelor of Arts or Science, with an emphasis in mathematics or science, preferred
Prior experience teaching in the private/public Special Education classroom, preferred – OR – highly experienced para-educators.
Prior experience working with students with ADHD, Dyslexia, or Dysgraphia, using either Barton reading system, Orton-Gillingham approach, or any other language based phonetic approaches, preferred.
We hope to start training as soon as possible to learn our process and style of training language lessons. This will be followed by a shadowing with our top language teacher, which will last approximately 2-3 weeks depending on your background and skills. Training and shadow hours will be limited to 10-20 hours a week.
**Training hours will be paid at $20 per hour – once curriculum and student shadowing is complete with growth satisfaction, you will begin making $25 per hour or more depending on the value you bring when you join!
From there you will have your own set of students you will consistently work with in a one-on-one set-up and students attending twice a week for 30 – 60 min sessions depending on their age and needs. You can expect to work anywhere from 15-20 hours a week. You will also have your own private classroom with all the supplies necessary to conduct your lessons. You have a chance to build your own clientele so the hours could be much more once you establish yourself!
