This position is a dual role supporting the day-to-day Accounting and Purchasing departments’ operations. The work week is split between the two departments, or as needed.
Accounting Responsibilities
Oversees cash handling functions for hotel and audits house banks monthly
Archives hotel miscellaneous reports daily
Sends reports for hotel management review
Handles accounts payable invoices
Keeps track of hotel licenses and permits
Purchasing Responsibilities
Handles receiving of inbound and outbound packages for hotel groups, guests, and internal departments
Assists with package inquiries and ensures proper shipping procedures are followed
Coordinate activities throughout the purchasing process, such as creating purchase orders, receiving products, and invoice processing and follow through
Reviews and fulfills storeroom requisitions to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to processing
Works with other departments to resolve any supply, quality, or logistic problems associated with purchased items
Qualifications
Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining outgoing and friendly attitude
Ability to work with frequent interruptions and to manage priorities
Ability to read, write, and speak in English
Must be able to consistently lift and carry moderate to heavy weight
