POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provides quality banking service to meet customer needs. Job Duties: Answers customer questions and resolves issues and problems. Handles customer transactions, posts transactions, pays out funds, and verifies cash. Sets up new customer accounts and identifies customer need for other Banking service through consultative banking. Identifies counterfeit currency. Cross-sells bank products and services. Maintains appropriate currency logs. Must perform work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. A Level 3 FSR may provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to their subordinate group. This level should be capable of handling the most complex teller transactions as well as relatively complex new accounts, including Trust Accounts and IRA’s. Level 3 may act as a lead teller or first-level supervisor, as assigned by the RBM.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Primary work location is on the teller line, or at the drive-up window, with overflow into a shared office space or private desk to facilitate opening of accounts for customers
Respond to customer inquires
Respond to customer needs with a consultative banking approach
Set up new accounts in system. As indicated above, complex accounts should be opened/managed by an FSR3 or UB, as appropriate
Interact with new customers (and professionals) to facilitate the opening and funding of accounts
Does not have lending limit or lending authority
May input/receive consumer loan applications, that must then be forwarded to a Universal Banker or Retail Branch Manager for final processing

High school diploma
Typical Job Level time requirements (Meeting time commitment is not a guarantee of promotion) and other responsibilities for FSR’s based on level.
Level 1: Typically 1-2 years experience
Level 2: Typically 3-4 years experience
Level 3 SR FSR Typically 4+ years experience.
Senior FSR’s may also be asked to provide daily supervision of FSR/Teller Line and other high-level functions as assigned by RBM, such as Branch Certification, Vault and Branch Cash Handling, as well as handling more Complex Account Openings for customers.
