We are currently meeting with qualified candidates to find a high-performance, hands-on, experienced, Vinyl/Graphics installer who positively and effectively contributes to the production department of the company. The Vinyl/Graphics Installer is an important member of our team, and often a key on-site contact for our clients. We want your artistic side to shine through, so a key eye for detail is required. While we can make the print look beautiful, it is often the installation of that print that can make or break the project. Messenger is unique, and our state-of-the-art design studios are backed by our 50,000-square-foot production facility in Seattle, making us a one-stop shop for many of our clients. Our facility houses flatbed printing, full-service CNC routing, automotive-grade painting, a metal shop, and a woodshop.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete site surveys prior to installation (to ensure accuracy of measurements, etc.)
Communicate with clients before, during, and after the installation (walk them through the process, timeframes, etc.); present a professional demeanor.
Install graphics to flat interior and exterior surfaces including walls, windows, floors, and ceilings.
Wrap vehicles (partial or full wraps).
Cut and shape the graphics to fit each surface, heat and apply graphics, disassemble, and reassemble. products during the application, using proper adherence and cutting techniques during the application.
Perform all necessary work to complete the installation; take photos of the work when completed.
Work is both indoors and outdoors and requires everything from physical labor to detailed, artistic work.
Assist the Production Team in building and completing sign & graphics orders when there are no installations to complete.
Help to keep our shop tidy and organized to create a tour-ready environment for visitors.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of experience installing a wide variety of large format sign and graphics projects such as dimensional letters, banners, post and panel signs, ADA signs, vinyl graphics (3M, Avery, Geek Wraps), vehicle lettering and vehicle wraps, etc.
Minimum of 1 years experience in Vinyl Production – Taping / Weeding / Masking
Adobe Illustrator A PLUS! Knowledge of UV flatbed (EFI) printing, Roland roll-to-roll printer, Colex CNC, and laminator, was helpful.
Attention to detail, highly motivated, pride of workmanship, and a positive attitude.
Must be mechanically inclined and have a basic understanding of tools involved with the installation.
Must be reliable.
Ability to follow written instructions, interpret shop drawings, and complete paperwork.
Have basic computer skills.
Have basic math skills and the ability to read/use a tape measure accurately.
Be able to use power tools (sheet cutters, saws, drills, etc.).
Be able to use ladders up to 24 ft. with carrying a sign and/or tools, stand for long periods of time, and lift up to 80lbs
Be able to operate boom and scissor lifts to complete installations
Be able to organize tasks and determine priorities.
Be able to work independently and occasionally alone in the shop or on a job site.
Complete jobs in a timely manner.
Take initiative when starting tasks or during downtime.
Be available for the occasional night, weekend, and/or early morning work with advance notice.
