Position : Health and Safety Assistant
Description :
Main responsibilities
Conduct face to face instruction by delivering onboarding and orientatin for new hires which includes company policies, procedures and job skills.
Administer learning schedules and maintain participant training records.
Assist the H&S Manager in the development and review of safety policies and procedures.
Assist the H&S Manager to monitor work related injuries and illnesses including investigations and conduct root cause analysis.
Site walk and observe safety practices and ensure all relevant procedures are being adhered to.
Document and hazards, incidents or employee issues.
Be part of the Health & Safety Comittee.
Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to Management.
Assist in administrative duties as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Additional training and instruction required through time will be provided by Wren.
Who are we looking for?
Excellent communication skills and the ability to address both Management and employees.
Strong organization, documentation and presentation skills.
Maintain priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Some understanding of OSHA and safety regulations preferred.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and similar computer programs.
Confident in front of people.
Must be able to work flexible days/hours as needed.
Multilingual in English and Spanish would be beneficial
