*Job Description*SUMMARYIt is the responsibility of the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure that all rooms and public areas are properly cleaned and ready for guest arrival, and to see that all areas under their supervision are maintained to the highest standards. Responsible for the supervision and scheduling of housekeeping staff.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise, train and schedule all housekeeping staff as related to the Lodge standards.
Determine daily needs as to scheduling rooms for cleaning and servicing. Assign all rooms to be cleaned daily to appropriate housekeepers.
Responsible for signing out all housekeeping keys. Be alert to early check-ins, late check-outs, stay overs and/or special requests.
Stay informed regarding all group functions that may affect assigned areas.
Inspect all rooms before cleared for arrival. Inspect all arrivals, leaving on entry light and desk lamp.
Clear all inventory in the computer as appropriate. Monitor housekeeping lunch program as assigned.
Supervise and/or conduct monthly inventory of all housekeeping supplies, laundry, guest room supplies, paper supplies, accessories and cleaning chemicals. Responsible for control and economical use of housekeeping supplies.
Maintain Lodge and departmental standards of appearance, conduct, quality and productivity.
Refer guest complaints to Manager as appropriate. Communicate with other staff members any special requirements at shift change. Maintain frequent communication with all department managers.
Assist with cleaning in the Lodge as needed, must be able to clean 12-14 rooms when needed.
Act as Housekeeping Manager when Manager is not on duty.
Show guest rooms on request when possible.
Attend scheduled meetings.
Use equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner. Follow established safety procedures, use appropriate safeguards and common-sense rules of safety in all on-the-job activities.

High School Diploma or GED Preferred
At least one year of supervisory experience in the Hotel industry
Must have basic computer skill including knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
Must be organized, independent, self- motivated, detail-orientated, flexible in scheduling and capable of prioritizing tasks.
Must present a neat and professional appearance.
Must be able to adjust work tasks and focus with poise in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities.
Willing to work as a cohesive team member and strive at all times for excellence.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
