A role you will love

As the IT Business Analyst Lead, you will be part of a cross-functional Agile delivery team which creates customer-oriented solutions. You will lead and mentor a team of analysts, sharing your knowledge and promoting simple, robust, and scalable solutions which deliver regular incremental value to your business lines.
In this role, you will facilitate the definition of stakeholder requirements from an early stage in the Agile SDLC forming the vision for a well-balanced Product Backlog for your delivery team to work from. You will also contribute to the Analyst community, promote innovation, and share knowledge of industry best practices, closely collaborating with a large network of stakeholders.
Other key responsibilities include:

Working with the Global BA Practice Lead, identify and nurture potential, providing opportunities for members to develop, assisting individuals in career and professional development planning, and providing a supportive environment for team members to continually learn and develop
Hold regular one-on-ones with your team members which includes goal setting, regular feedback, coaching, recognition and performance management
Lead project inception, elicit business and technical requirements and support estimation
Write high quality, clear User Stories and provide vision to the team for Product Backlog items
Support estimates for User Stories based on the relative sizing scale used in your team
Demonstrate multiple analysis techniques and use the most appropriate for each epic / story
Run effective stakeholder workshops – always looking to keep things interactive and fun!
Ensure backlog is balanced and represents business, technology and governance needs
Work with Product owner to constantly maintain a prioritized Product Backlog
Maintain a healthy Product Backlog containing ‘ready’ work for at least two sprints / iterations
Prepare visualization of project delivery progress and longer term roadmap Use Agile artefacts to engage with stakeholders at all levels
Proactively manage and honour team definitions of ‘Ready’ and ‘Done’
Help define Minimum Viable Products, and deliver small, independently usable features

What will you bring to the role?

We are looking for someone who has a passion for both leadership and for BA practice. You love to explore new ways of thinking and analysis. You are pragmatic and logical, with a solution-oriented mindset, and can clearly communicate your requirements and ideas. You also have:

5+ years of related Business Analysis experience
Experience leading/mentoring less experienced analysts, preferably in an Agile environment
Ability to break down complex domains quickly and translate them more simply and effectively
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills; ability to manage positive and effective negotiations with stakeholders

Bonus points if you have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business or related field
Experience working in an Agile software delivery team
Relevant Business Analysis courses or qualifications
Previous experience in the Financial Services sector

Compensation. Approximately $135,000 to $160,000 per year USD, depending on experience.
