Description :
The primary responsibility of the Laundry Attendant is to ensure a continuous supply of clean, high quality laundry to include guest room linen, terry, food and beverage linen and napkins. Laundry Attendants use commercial pressing and folding equipment and are responsible for programming and logging of their operations.This position requires considerable physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, work on feet, talk, hear and walk short to moderate distances throughout shift. Routinely required to move laundry carts weighing up to 200 lbs. over short distances. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell. Ability to bend, push and pull. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job ninclude color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
