Position : Maintenance Class C
This position will report to the Transportation/Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for assisting other Maintenance personnel in the completion of regular Maintenance activities. Performing such work consistent with the company mission and values and produces a product that meets recognized standards and customer expectations by maintaining Quality and Safety procedures. This is a safety-sensitive position. A safety-sensitive position has been defined as one where the employee’s responsibilities impact the health and safety of themselves, coworkers and/or the public (in this case the end-user of our product). All production and production support positions fall into this category.
Essential Functions – REQUIRED WITHIN 45 DAYS AFTER TRIAL PERIOD:
Become Lock Out Tag Out certified
Participate in training classes and perform hands on training to improve skill set
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with customers, co-workers, clients and supervisors
Work in a safe and conscientious manner at all times
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Produce finished product that meets recognized standards, codes, and customer expectations by maintaining quality procedures and practices
Maintains positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to, cleaning, trash/scrap removal, and other production-related jobs
Maintain various hand & power tools and equipment. Coordinates with 3rd party vendors for repairs and service as required.
Equipment loading, unloading, delivery, inspection, and restocking for upcoming projects.
Track equipment and assets via cloud based software.
In order to meet the qualifications of Maintenance C Class you must be able to:
Support the Lean Initiative through active engagement and participation in continuous process improvement projects based in Lean Manufacturing Principles
Assist in the collection of data, participate in RIE workshops and contribute to the implementation of solutions, replicate successful improvements, share lessons learned and provide feedback on opportunities for change that will further the continuous improvement process.
Consistently exceed goals as communicated by supervision
Work without supervision in a safe and efficient manner
Ability to train and supervise others
Participate in the daily production planning process
Accept ownership of work cell, ensuring that work is completed within a timely manner while meeting Company and customers’ expectations
Education and /or Experience
No minimum experience required
Ability to read and write in English
Prior maintenance experience including electrical, cranes, HVAC or pneumatic desired
Regular, reliable and punctual attendance with the ability to work overtime and weekends
Possesses strong sense of urgency
Works well as a cooperative team player
Willingly takes direction from supervisory personnel
Adheres to quality procedures and demonstrates strong safety awareness and prevention
