CNO Financial Group’s Marketing unit is hiring a Manager, Marketing Sales Activation to be an energetic collaborator and important people leader to oversee the optimization, education and enrollment strategies of marketing initiatives for our Bankers Life and PMA captive agent organizations. This highly engaging and articulate individual will lead a team whose core responsibilities are to work in a consultative fashion with agent teams to activate campaigns & prospecting programs; provide education and insight around CNO product offerings; and provide localized prospecting and personal brand awareness tools and resources to support sales growth and ensure these partners get the most out of marketing efforts and opportunities.

As a Manager, Marketing Sales Activation, your responsibilities will include:

Plan and coordinate the development of communication and marketing tactics for the Bankers Life and PMA brands by developing strong cross-functional partnerships with internal departments supporting the field organizations including senior field leadership, recruiting and training partners, and creative, photography, web, video and public relations.
Manage local prospecting and digital presence programs for more than 5,000 users. Responsibilities include developing, planning and overseeing ongoing system enhancements, programming efficiencies, advertising development, reporting and vendor management. Success to be measured by usage, adoption, and organic lead generation.
Lead analysis strategies around paid lead generation programs and structure recommendations on lead spend and lead channels tailored to local needs.
Effectively develop strategy, budget, timeline and tactics for marketing projects as assigned.
Write engaging, concise copy to drive marketing and sales initiatives as it relates to point-of-sale resources, sales presentations, agent training, marketing campaigns, recruiting strategies, memos, direct mail advertising and video scripts.
Manage brand standards at Bankers Life and PMA by providing expert directional advice on copywriting and editing to internal departments to ensure the voice/message of communication project is audience-appropriate and reflective of the company and its products.
Manage the Bankers Life branded merchandise store including merchandise selection, inventory management, promotion and accounting.
Support detailed communication process through data management system (Tracker)
Support approval process by facilitating relationships throughout the company as it relates to field marketing, product, advertising and recruiting practices.

The Manager, Marketing Sales Activation position is well-suited for you if you:

Are highly versed in state and product specific regulatory standards acting as department’s subject matter expert when it comes to advertising practices
Present exceptional presentation, communication and strong relationship skills
Possess the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with strong attention to detail
Have worked closely with senior field leadership, directors, marketing communications managers and field support clients to drive the development of merchandising, advertising and promotional projects from a communications plan, promoting product exposure and driving sales
Can complete all project deliverables based upon timeline assigned in a fast-paced environment

Qualified candidates will have:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English or related Liberal Arts concentration
7-10 years of experience in strategic communication; 3 years in a healthcare, insurance, broker/dealer related industry or other highly regulated field, preferred
Prior experience managing people, highly preferred

This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022 and we will be pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60 mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
