Description :
Raymond West is looking for an enthusiastic Inventory Control Manager to join our team!
The Inventory Control Manager provides leadership to an assigned department or service center, or manages the functions of a major section or unit of a department.
Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise staff in an assigned area to include: planning and assigning projects/tasks to staff, making hiring, separation and disciplinary recommendations and conducting performance evaluations.
Ensure staff development and coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for current staff
Provide leadership for assigned staff.
Manage employee’s time card utilizing the company’s Time and Attendance system
Manage the operational activities within the Parts department
Develop organize, implement and oversee programs, policies and procedures.
Ensure achievement of Parts goals
Render decisions with respect to key department issues impacting overall service and performance.
Provide input to senior leadership for annual budgets
Direct and prepare reports for Parts Senior leadership
Participate in Company or Department projects
Ensure employees and team are following all Company Policies
Works closely with other departments and communicate with all levels of employees, customers and Manufacturers both verbally and in writing
Demonstrates drive and initiative
Maintains a professional attitude in all matters
Correspond with Vendors and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
Must be able to manage time efficiently
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Parts Department, Inventory Management, and Training.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Compile all reports for the Corporate Director of Parts Operations to include inventory accuracy, fill rates, number of turns, etc.
Analyze and reconcile negative inventory items, as well as items that have no location.
Audit material receipts, stock transfers, stock adjustments and inter-branch transfers for accuracy.
Responsible for the removal of obsolete parts from consignments and main service center inventories.
Check restock for minimum and maximum settings.
Compile data from sources such as contracts, purchases orders, invoices, requisitions, computer system and accounting department.
Report and enter information into computer system to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping or other records.
Input internal requisitions for consumables, additions, deletions and changes to existing consignment inventories.
Audit pick lists, vans and consignments for accuracy.
Ensure stock levels for service vans are appropriate and maintained
Responsible for updating the list of parts and quantity levels for start-up vans bi-annually
Remove obsolete parts per the Obsolete Parts Policy.
Review reports compiled to determine unused items and recommend items for disposal of excess stock.
Adjust minimum and maximum levels as market trends change.
Responsible for setting stock levels to ensure minimum three turns per year.
Oversee all aspects of S-82 (ship/bill discrepancies) and GRD core program for Raymond West locations.
Coordinate and complete physical inventories for vans and service centers across all Raymond West locations.
Oversee and assists with customer inventories by assisting in scheduling and processing of customer consignments inventories and removal of obsolete inventories.
Implement and ensure a cycle counting procedure for inventory auditing.
Perform random checks on price increases and ensure computer systems is charging correctly.
Work with and support the Parts Team process on adjusting the inventory of non-moving parts.
Create annual, bi-annual, quarterly and refresher Inventory training programs for the company.
Hold bi-weekly team meetings
Be a leader in Toyota Production System for inventory control and have continuous involvement and progress with implementation.
Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
Visit all Raymond West locations as required and needed
Provide monthly reports to Corporate Director of Part Operations by pulling key measurements and provide recommendations when goals are not being met.

Be willing to travel, including Mexico on a monthly basis.
Be able to define and create ideas and implement online training modules for department
Excellent computer skills to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Outlook
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

High School Diploma
1-year Certificate from College or Technical School or 3 – 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
Ability to read interpret documents such as Safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before vendors, customers

Travel Requirement:
Travel requirements can change based on business needs, as a standard this position can typically expect to travel 3 days per week.
