The Job Details are as follows:

The Programs Manager will manage the implementation and evaluation of grant-funded projects as assigned. This work will include establishing project timeline and milestones, delegating and coordinating tasks among staff, facilitating communication among all stakeholders, preparing project-related reports for grant funders, and being responsible for successfully fulfilling project deliverables. The manager will also identify ways to align project deliverables with WebJunction’s mission and strategic objectives, and provide thought leadership and visibility for WebJunction in the area of staff development and collaborative learning, especially for small and rural libraries.

The Program Manager will manage WebJunction-led projects, including those funded by grants or partnerships. Drawing upon information about current issues and future trends impacting public libraries, this role will co-design and manage national-scale projects that build the knowledge, skills, and confidence of library staff and bolster library capacity to meet community needs. The program manager will contribute to OCLC thought leadership in the areas of collaborative learning networks and/or community-centered librarianship.

Responsibilities:

Consult on project goals and scope of work
Lead project management and team: establish timeline, milestones, and process to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget
Define project team roles and delegate tasks and responsibilities
Facilitate communication with all internal and external project stakeholders, consultants, and participants
Manage through design, production, and dissemination of project work products
Work with WebJunction and Communications staff to publish, launch, and promote learning resources produced by the projects
Support preparation of grant reporting
Coordinate with grant administrator to manage project budget
Co-design and coordinate on project evaluation
Publish and present about library topics, projects, and results, on WebJunction and in library-related publications and conferences
Support OCLC conference and exhibit activities as requested

Requirements:

Excellent writing, organizational, and communications skills
4+ years work experience with managing projects and leading project teams
Bachelor’s degree in arts, humanities, social science or information science; or, 4+ years working in public-facing library position.
Experience applying best practices in adult continuing education and/or online learning
Understanding of online learning tools and online community building
Experience working and communicating efficiently and collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and consultants
Excellent presentation, facilitation, and meeting skills, both virtual and in person
