We are looking for an entry-level Purchasing Associate in our corporate branch in St. Louis whose attitude, skills, and work ethic will embody our mission “to provide a fantastic customer experience.” Our accounting department employees are organized and dependable team players who are willing to take on different responsibilities as needed. We provide CTI specific training, and help our employees build their career while maintaining healthy work-life balance. What are your responsibilities?
Verify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to a master list; clarifying unclear items and recommending alternatives.
Forward available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.
Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items and obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
Resolve shipments in error with suppliers.
Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
Negotiate purchase prices

Accounting Experience: schoolwork or internship experience with supply management.

Ability to Work Both Independently and in a Team
Time Management and Multitasking experience are a must.
Attitude and Aptitude: Are key! We need someone who is eager to learn and comes to work ready to tackle any situation.
Education: Minimum of Associates degree with an emphasis in business, accounting, finance, operations, or equivalent experience is preferred.
