Join our team at the Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in Union, Missouri to find “forever homes” for rescued horses, pigs, goats, and other animals! The Longmeadow Rescue Ranch is part of the Humane Society of Missouri, which has been rescuing and sheltering animals for over 150 years. We typically have 75 to 100 horses in our care, in addition to a variety of other farm animals on our 160-acre facility.
This job has a little of everything…assisting employees, working with the public, maintaining a small gift shop, answering phones, preparing deposits, maintaining records/files, and best of all, getting to be around some beautiful animals!
Our Ranch Administrative Coordinator will assist the Ranch Director and Manager in all clerical/office tasks. Duties include:

Prepare and make any changes to the staff schedule (approximately 12 people)
Accept and enter payments for our riding lesson program
Enter data into our animal database (Chameleon)
Answer and respond to all phone and email requests; direct calls to others as needed
Record notes during staff meetings and prepare summary documents for absent staff
Operate the gift shop during open house hours
Screen potential adopters and direct them through the start of the adoption process
Prepare adoption folders for animals going home
Order office supplies
Post animals available for adoption on websites
Manage lesson and visitor riding releases
Manage Horsemanship member files
New employee paperwork with new staff
Track attendance for our attendance incentives, attendance points and FMLA
Download photos and save to shared drive
Prepare deposits weekly
Maintain volunteer files and time records
Other various office tasks

The selected candidate will have:

A passion for animals
At least 2 years of administrative experience
Customer service experience and the ability to give great service internally and externally
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail
The work week for this position will normally be Monday through Friday, but there will be occasional Saturday hours when we have a fundraising event
