Experience:
Previous nursing experience preferred.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
BSN preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Critical thinking skills and judgement.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of nursing principles and standards of care.
Licenses/Registrations/Certifications:
Current WA State RN license.
Current BLS.
ACLS required within 3 months of hire.
PALS preferred.
Utilize the nursing process to manage and coordinate the interdisciplinary care of patients of all ages, including pediatric, adult and geriatric. Provide individualized care to the patient, family and caregivers and is competent and knowledgeable to provide care to the patient population served.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, crouching and stretching required during the normal course of the day. The employee must exert 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects and must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Requires frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. The work involves recurring exposure to moderate risks which require special safety and health precautions and the use of Personal Protective Equipment; risks such as exposure to contagious diseases, contaminated bodily fluids, sharp instruments, and other contaminants.
