Availability: Monday-Friday; Hours will vary based on school/branch. Must be available for shifts between 6:00am-6:30 pm.Location: this position will work primarily at our School-Age Care site at Stanwood Elementary (before & after school care); Stanwood Elementary is located at 10227 273rd Pl NW, Stanwood, WA 98292.
What you will do at the Y: As the Site Coordinator of a Year Round School Age Care Program you will lead and develop our before and after school and day camp staff. This position will serve on an engaging and dynamic team, playing a key role in ensuring planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum are provided to the participants. You will oversee the planning and implementation of a safe and quality child care program providing day-to-day support and overall management of the program site. You will be an important part of helping maintain professional relationships with families, facility/school personnel, and the community.
This position is a regular year round position that works within our before and after school programs during the school year and within one of our summer camps during the summer. In the supervisor role you will oversee and work alongside your staff team during the before and after school program hours.
This is an in-person, Full-Time role. Shifts are a combination of AM programming (6:30/7am to start of school) and afternoon programming (end of the school day to 6:30pm M-F). Administrative hours are provided. The position is based out of one location, but you will be asked to support and/or substitute at nearby sites when needed. Hours and shifts are determined by the school schedules, Site Coordinators will be expected to work 35-40 hours in a combination of admin and in ratio hours.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with state and local regulations in addition to YMCA standards and procedures
Train, evaluate and supervise assigned staff and volunteers, including ensuring required are completed
Coordinate with the program director to develop, prepare, and implement daily lesson and activity plans within the YMCA of Snohomish County and DEL guidelines
Supervision of all children and related program area activities
Regularly observes, schedules and completes evaluations for each child
Maintain communication with parents, conduct regularly scheduled parent conferences, and engage parents as volunteers
Maintain materials, equipment, and program facility
Maintain required program records
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum age 18, 21 preferred
Two or more years working in licensed School-Age Care program, with children in a developmentally appropriate group setting. YMCA experience, preferred.
Meet educational and experience qualifications established by DCYF (Dept of Children, Youth and Families
Have a high school diploma or equivalent;
Complete thirty college credits in any one hundred-level or above college coursework or equivalent;
OR
Have completed at least twelve college credits in any one hundred-level or above college coursework or equivalent AND complete an additional eighteen college credits in any one hundred-level or above coursework or equivalent within five years of employment
Provide document of all certification and training requirements established by DCYF, including position prerequisites, current negative TB test, fully vaccinated for COVID-19/MMR/other required vaccinations*, and portable background check
Experience planning, organizing, and implementing high quality developmentally appropriate programming
Experience working with individuals, families and communities of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Fluency in second language desired
