Description :
Pacific Power Group, in Kent, WA, is hiring a Service Operations Planner/Expediter to join the Marine Service Team.
In this role, you will assist the service operations team with parts identifying, allocating, ordering and expediting of large service projects.

Primary (Essential) Duties:
Work with the Service Operations team to maintain accurate parts list for large service jobs
Work with Service Business Development team to estimate large service jobs
Plan and schedule long lead time parts and receipt to maintain department metrics and inventory control
Add parts to repair orders via company business systems
Proactively use provided tools and reports to create, review, and place vendor orders pertaining to large service jobs
Maintain current purchase order status, so that estimated delivery dates and lead times remain as accurate as possible
Coordinate with warehouse personnel regarding incoming shipments, deliveries, and paperwork
Work with technicians and Service Supervisors to add and remove parts and cores as necessary from large service jobs
Minimize exposure to obsolete and excess inventory
Build and maintain cooperative relationships with vendors
Provide Leadership with updates, vendor performance, and other key metrics
Assist in resolving order discrepancies and damaged/missing shipments
Source, review, and order non-OEM parts as needed
Project quality management as determined by leadership
Additional project coordination as determined by leadership
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Critical thinking skills
Intermediate computer skills (typing, MS Office, emails, etc.)
Proficiency in Excel. Ability to create, manipulate, and analyze spreadsheets, tables, and charts
10,000 KPH or higher using 10 key
A methodical approach to figures and reporting
Knowledge of demand and supply planning/ordering
Excellent numerical and logical analytic skills
Strong attention to detail
Well defined organization and time management system
Ability to recognize and resolve problems quickly while attempting to minimize the impact to operations
Ability to create and sustain supplier relationships
Ability to negotiate favorable terms with vendors.
Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Customer Service Skills
Basic knowledge of engine and transmission parts
Basic proficiency in SX.e (GUI)
Experience/Education Requirements:
3+ years’ experience in buying or purchasing
5+ years’ Customer Service experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
2+ years’ experience in industrial/engine parts industry preferred
APIC’s Membership/Certifications preferred
Other Requirements:
Occasional travel may be required
