Our Administrative Services Program is looking to fill a Staff Services Help Desk (Office Assistant 3) position. This position is located in our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.
In this position, you interact with employees from our different environmental and administrative programs within the agency. This interaction gives you experience and exposure in learning what staff do in other programs in the agency. Our job in Staff Services is to help our employees accomplish their jobs by providing them with fleet vehicles, their keycard, conference room setups and any other services we can provide to help them be successful and carry out our agency’s mission.

Staff Services within Ecology’s Administrative Services Division supports Ecology’s environmental staff by providing efficient and effective services so that Ecology can meet its mission.

During Healthy Washington Roadmap to Recovery, employees are working a combination of in-office and/or telework based on position and business need.
This position is required to work in the office Monday – Friday. Ecology is following current state guidance regarding mask requirements, health screening questions before entry, and social distancing.

What you will do:
Staff Services Help Desk – Customer Service:
Assist customers at the reception desk
Answer phones and assist callers
Respond to email inquiries/requests
Make/cancel vehicle reservations
Enter vehicle mileage
Prepare binders for pickup
Add approved access
Conference room setups:
Work with meeting sponsor(s) to determine and plan for auditorium room event needs (setup/equipment)
Dispatch appropriate staff through InfoCentre (internal program) with room setup information
Order, receive and maintain inventory of office supplies
Covers main reception
Helps out with projects
A High school Diploma or equivalent AND Two years of clerical experience in an office environment, including providing reception services (answering multi-line phone and directing visitors).
Special Requirements / Conditions of Employment:
Obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
