Sterile Processing Technician – Sterile Processing 3RP at Kadlec Regional Medical Center
Under the direction of the Manager, Sterile Processing, the Sterile Processing Technician performs a variety of tasks related to cleaning, sterilizing and assembling and wrapping surgical instruments; picks case carts; restocks supplies and instrumentation; and completes other duties to facilitate the patient care team. Maintains a variety of logs and records relating to the operation of sterilizing equipment. Maintains inventory of supplies, notifies appropriate personnel as needed. Operates and maintains the sterilizing equipment in the Instrument and Decontamination room assuring proper functioning and sterilizing temperatures, pressures and time cycles.
Required Qualifications:
National Certified Registered Central Service Technician – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association -or- National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from a Healthcare Central Service Program from an accredited educational institution
Central Supply Room and/or Sterile Processing Department experience
