Classic Transportation provides stretcher, wheelchair and ambulatory transportation to/from hospitals, facilities, and homes for medical patients across the state of Oklahoma. For this role, we are seeking Drivers for our transports. Preferably, they already have their EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course) certification, so that they can serve as part of our two-person stretcher teams. Our drivers transport our Passengers from door-to-door, with our EVOC Drivers working as part of a two-person team on Stretcher transports.
This is what you will do:
Drive our vehicles for pickup and drop-off passengers, including maneuvering Passengers from door-to-door
Drive safely, obeying all traffic laws and company policies
Must be able to navigate a Wheelchair or Stretcher-bound Passenger to and from the vehicles
Take Passenger/Patient paperwork from facility at pick-up and ensure it is delivered appropriately at drop off
Assist in transferring Passengers to or from stretchers and wheelchairs
Operating van wheelchair lifts as needed
Communicate with Dispatch team as necessary about the Passenger, transport, or other relevant information
Maintain a clean vehicle and report any necessary maintenance issues to the Business Manager
Report any incidents or accidents that occur to the Business Manager
Adhere to company policies, protocols, and values.
These are the qualifications you have earned and skills you have developed (required): (all certifications can be completed post-hire)
Valid Oklahoma driver’s license with clean driving record
3 years of driving experience in comparable or same field
Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) certification
BLS or First Aid/CPR Certification
FEMA’s NIMS 1, 2 and 7 Certification
Ability to lift, push, and steer Passengers loaded on stretchers or wheelchairs to and from the vehicles
Access to internet enabled mobile devices
Effective communication skills, both written and oral

OK EMR/EMT License
