Work Schedule: Full time, M-F, occasional Saturdays, between 7a-6p

Job Summary
As a Support Services Specialist, you would be responsible for supporting the Health Information Management (HIM), Referrals, Call Center and Front Desk teams as directed by the Support Services Manager, to ensure adequate coverage for the Support Services Department.

Requirements:
A High school diploma or G.E.D.; AA degree or technical certificate a plus
At least one year of experience in customer service utilizing data entry skills, preferably in a medical or dental office setting.
Experience with HIM, referrals, reception and phone experience
Proficient keyboarding skills, be able to input patient data quickly and accurately, and have the ability to use office equipment (fax, photo copier, phone system).
Basic knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office Products (must be proficient with Excel and be able to use Outlook and Word).
Moderate to high level knowledge of legal and regulatory standards including HIPAA and RCW 70.02 as they pertain to privacy, security, release of information, and retention.
Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills in a demanding fast paced environment with constant public contact and frequent interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience dealing with underserved populations
Ability to be able to understand and respond effectively and with sensitivity to special population groups, including those defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, gender, sexual orientation, economic standing, & others.
