The Boeing Commercial Airplanes Electronics Systems Design Center in Everett, WA is seeking a Surveillance and Warning Systems Manager to provide functional leadership to the Surveillance and Warning systems teams. The leader selected to perform this critical role will provide leadership oversight for Group Proximity Warning Systems, Warning Electronic Units/Assemblies, Stall Management Yaw Damper System, Collision Avoidance Systems, Weather Radar, and the Integrated Surveillance System, supporting all BCA airplane programs and commercial derivatives.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Manage a team of Engineers and Technical employees by providing supporting the team’s professional and personal development goals and participating in design reviews.
Continuously improve the Surveillance and Warning systems organization.
Be responsible for overall planning, execution, and success of Electronic Systems Design Engineering projects.
Collaborate closely with suppliers’ leadership to develop and execute to plans and processes.
Forecast resource needs and hire/develop appropriate personnel to meet project and daily operating requirements.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics
3+ years’ experience leading teams or projects
3+ years full time aerospace industry experience within avionics and/or electrical systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Excellent communication, verbal and written, and teamwork skills.
1+ years of experience with risk management.
3+ years of engineering process knowledge.
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
