Description :
Position Overview
The Training and Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring training is scheduled to support consistent achievement of high-quality workmanship and safety standards throughout Wisler’s operations, developing of new staff members and ongoing continuous improvement training strategies.
This position reports to the Training Development Manager and partners with the appropriate key stakeholder (management team, team leads and employees). Key stakeholders include the training manager, leadership team, technicians, new hires and vendors.
30% Ensure every team member has ongoing development of skills or knowledge to close performance gaps and fulfill a continuous improvement culture.
Ensure all team members participate and are trained regularly in:
Communication
Safety
Technical
Ensure new team member training is executed per training and growth plan
Achieve individual training time lines and resolve training procrastination
Schedule all training per individual training plans
Train all staff on applications, programs, and technology per individual training plan
Maintain and coordinate internal communication calendar.
Coordinate team celebrations and team building events
Skills: Presenting, planning, trades, policies and procedures, communication, initiative, technology
30% Partner with leadership and trainers to promote and drive individual development
Collaborate with managers to create complete training plan for no less than 6 month for each team member.
Maintain training plans
Schedule trainings in a manner that balances loss of production
Follow up on all training to measure effectiveness
Gather input to improve effectiveness of training
Track on going application/practice/retention to measure training effectiveness
Attend weekly training and weekly management meeting
Liaise with internal staff at all levels as representative for the training manager
Skills: Presentation skills, trades, safety policies and procedures, communication, initiative
30% Create/develop/implement effective training
Create and coordinate appropriate professional training programs and content for each area of the organization
Ensure each training plan is appropriate for the learning ability of each team member
Continually streamline and automate training to increase efficiency of training
Skills: Presenting, graphic design, training
10% Ensure performance is consistently measured to operational standards.
Complete safety forms and safety reports (safe days, OSHA 300 forms)
File safety incident report
Adjust training plans to performance reports
Skills: Attention to detail, analytical ability, flexibility
