The Opportunity
Our Transportation Analysts partner with the senior leadership of the Transportation division to drive growth and profitability of that business. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to look at historical data and analysis to provide key insights and guidance to business to drive impactful change.
Who We Are
The Transportation Analytics team is primed to provide data and analytics to identify and react to current and future business trends and opportunities. This role will work cross-functionally with other departments across the organization, including Vendor Operations, Finance, Fulfillment, and Tech to help them make data-driven decisions and changes within the business.
Your Impact
Provide historical data and analysis of key transportation metrics and key performance indicators to support informed decision-making for the supply chain teams.
Forecast and schedule of inventory levels and reorders through platform with various suppliers.
Manage monthly accrual and financial reporting processes between transportation and finance.
Deliver actionable insights on financial performance and opportunities to reduce costs without impacting performance.
Perform data mining for valued projects, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
Complete cost-benefit justifications on strategic optimization decisions.
Contribute to strategic carrier negotiations by analyzing internal data, carrier proposals and negotiating with carriers.
What You Bring
1+ years in finance or analytics related field
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Advance knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially Excel with emphasis on pivot and data tables
Proficiency with SQL, Google big query, Tableau.
Comfort and experience retrieving and manipulating raw data from various databases for analytical work and reporting
Strong problem solving, analytical, and mathematical skills
Ability to own initiatives, willing to work independently, and on a team as needed, cross-functionally and within the department
