Description :
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coordinates the marketing functions for a department including fundraising, contributions, donations, in-kind services, promotions, and public relations Creates and produces design solutions for publications, promotions, internal Zoo communications and other programming Maintains Louisville Zoo website and design and brand standards across all platforms

Examples of Duties

UNDER ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISION Assists in budget preparation and monitors and controls expenditures Designs, creates, and develops digital and printed marketing collateral Assists in production and editing of photography and video materials Maintains and archives records of photo and video Coordinates with printers and photographers to discuss printing, photographs, artwork, graphic needs, and provides technical assistance Develops interactive web-based applications utilizing a content management system such as WordPress Gravity Forms or similar applications Creates vector-based logos and infographics Maintains and updates existing marketing graphic standards in department and throughout organization Creates, maintains, and monitors social media materials and activity to respond to inquires Provides technical assistance and instruction concerning design work, graphic presentations, and distribution of communications Assists with other marketing/communication duties as required such as press release development, newsletters, and other publications Performs related work

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree Communications Education English Graphic Design Marketing Public Relations Related field WORK EXPERIENCE Two years of graphic design experience EQUIVALENCY An equivalent amount of education or experience may be substituted, but must include a year of investigative experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work

Supplemental Information

Knowledge of using content management systems to update content Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud tools and proficiency in video and photo editing
