Position : Zook Agricultural Division General Manager
Essential Job Functions:
Manages division activities through planning with production and sales to insure the total production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
Provides daily leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
Implements cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower.
Supports the continuous improvement activities to improve production and cost objectives.
Supports facility safety initiative.
Responsible to maintain and improve the safety, legality and quality of Ag products manufactured.
Responsible for the Safety, Quality, Yield, Delivery, Productivity, and customer satisfaction goal attainment.
Provides critical feedback to improve Daily Management process and next level leadership.
Develop and maintain a strong management/supervisory team and organizational structure to maximize employee contributions, customer satisfaction and profits.
Manages change by creating an atmosphere of learning and adapting to changing markets and their competitive demands.
Adheres to business and employment compliance requirements of the company.
Any other duties as requested directed or assigned by the Chief Strategy Officer
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 7 years food / agricultural industry experience.
Bachelor’s degree a plus.
Ability to travel to other company locations.
Must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of regulatory laws and responsibilities as relative to food manufacturing and general facility standards.
Demonstrates basic understanding of budgeting, cost control and GMP’s.
Demonstrates a passion for learning and a willingness to build new skills.
Must be able to define, diagnose, and resolve problems.
Ability to have an organization-wide perspective and understand how the business operates.
Ability to understand the vision of the organization and translate it into specific plans and actions that achieve desired results.
Must be a strong executor who has the ability to assist with strategy development at all levels of the organization to drive business performance.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead people through change
Ability to work collaboratively with all departments, management levels within the company, and external stakeholders.
Ability to successfully influence peers and senior leadership.

Typical Environmental & Physical Demands:
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
